Tadashi Shoji made a real name for himself during awards season this year with the Helps Octavia Spencer wearing Tadashi to the globes,baftas,sags a and the oscars! He is now a big celeb red carpet dresser and his collections are now infamous for there fabulous saturation of lace! This season the elegant and sophisticated tadashi woman was that little more bohemian she wore her hair in a simple ponytail had very tropical long flowing lace gowns, at one point during the show I called it tropical lace because it was a very tropical beach relaxed look but done in beautiful lace! Bohemian Princess is certainly the phrase for this collection floor sweeping gowns worthy of royalty and in a more bohemian fluidity! I loved some of the white gowns I thought they would be perfect for a wedding on the beach in greek! Or the final silk chiffon gowns perfect for this years award season and uptown social calender! I thought this season tadashi incorporated lace in a major way and also showed beautiful gowns as always! Really it was just breath taking because those dresses were just so major!!!
Really cant believe im actually saying that it is just a day and several hours until a month of fashion kicks of in new york! Even though its just a day to wait I cant help butting seeing as many previews as i can be it mood boards or simple designer sketches. it always feels like ripping a little hole and taking a little peek at your much anticipated christmas gift! Its all part of the pre fashion season buzz! I have a few previews that I discovered collectively from a few sites that will get your pre fashion week fever sky rocketing!
Call it the Downton Abbey effect, but a whiff of Edwardian tweedy country elegance hung in the air this season it was old manor house meets the stylish 21st century girl we saw at a few collections this season. Think english countryside with period element!!!
note the tweed farmers hat and country jacket also the shoes are very english country!!!

Ralph lauren and burberry captured this trend in the best way this season. Ralph showed a very literal downton and fabulous collection and burberry showed the more modern advanced collection for this trend. So think country tweeds,equestrian boots,edwardian gowns for evening,winter knits,plaid and a little bit of drama and costume for example top hat and kane or farmers tweed hat can really make this look prefect for the downton abbey effect trend here are some more examples enjoy!!!
This award season we have seen the helps star octavia spencer wear two tasahi shoji gowns for sure she will be wearing him to the oscars and some others after seeing this stunning collection of red carpet 20 inspired gowns!!! This collection reminded my of the artist and of dontown abbey overall hollywood scarlet!!!! the collection had a wide variety of styles there wear lace gowns, and chiffon gowns the closing gown was a stunning black velvet gown with a plunging back. The floral gowns and dresses were very edwardian and reminded my of dontown abbey . Overall there was a great variety of silhouettes to cater for everyone and the collection was very beautiful!!!! i'll see you at the oscars
